Update: Sinkhole repairs in progress
Posted on Jan 11th, 2018

Sinkhole Status Update
January 10, 2018

The storm drain and sinkhole repair by the City on our Rue Chantemar greenbelt has been underway since July. The original schedule called for the project to be completed a few days after Christmas.  Obviously, did not happen.

The contractor’s schedule, revised November 3, anticipated the construction to be completed January 29, 2018 and all re-vegetation and landscape repair completed by June 1.  The contractor fell about 18 days behind this schedule.

Today I received another schedule revision showing completion of construction by February 22 followed by re-vegetation and landscape repair completed by June 21.

What’s ahead?
Our LVHOA lawyer, the Deputy City Attorney, other project managers, and I will continue regular conferences to track progress. I will continue to make daily site observations of the progress.

My personal projection
The projected schedule does not allow for rain or any other contingencies so it will likely fall behind again. My personal expectation is that it could be mid-summer before the drain is complete and all landscape repairs are finished.
